[This review of The Reluctant Journal of Henry K. Larsen by Susin Nielsen was written by my brother, Ludnick. He previously reviewed Wicket Season by Gabrielle Prendergast.]
This book is about a boy named Henry writing in his journal that was given to him by his therapist Cecil. He talked about how his life was every day and how hard it is and why.
The problem was that his brother did something terrible at school that caused the family to have mayhem (read the book for more juicy information).
This book is very funny and entertaining. I couldn’t stop reading. It also had very sad parts to it and even made me cry once. It has a beautiful story of sadness, romance, happiness, and humor. (No spoilers!)
This book is very well detailed and the storyline is amazing and should be made into a movie. I stayed up to 3 o’clock in the morning to finish the book.
THANKS SUSIN!
